About- Habiru001 (Dewey Maggard)

Hasbiru001 (Dewey Maggard) was born in that dear land of Oklahoma in 1927. I finished high school while in the Air Force- served my country a couple of years in the Finance  Soon after my service years. I became an Agent Telegrapher for the Santa Fe RR and served as an Agent in several locations on that system, the transferred to the NWP and was promoted to a Car Distributor  position, then Train Dispatcher.  It was during my Railway tenure that I was introduced to the coin hobby.  This was in 1951 and I have been an avid coin collector since that time.  I have served as President of two different coin clubs and founded a group called the Numismatic Research Group.  I have exhibited Some of my An cient collection in Statewide competition and won several awards.  Also I  have written many articles relating to coins for Coin masters and World Internet Numismatics.  Ancient collecting placed me in the position of becoming a ‘History Nut”  So I now share some of those stories I acquired while pursuimg the hobby.
